For Therapeutic Bodywork
The signature massage is a use of soul soothing aromatherapy to relax the mind. Warm towels and hot stones to relax the muscles followed up with firm or deep tissue to make your massage complete.
Using long gliding soothing strokes and gentle kneading techniques on the upper layers of the muscles. This massage relaxes muscles, improves circulation, increases range of motion, and stimulates the skin and nervous system. It enhances balance and harmony while creating a sense of relaxed well-being. Aromatherapy compliments the Swedish massage very nicely. If this is your first time in getting a massage then the Swedish is recommended.
People who have chronic pain with muscular tightness or tension often request this type of treatment. Deep tissue is a slow sustaining pressure in one of more locations of the body where it is most needed also using trigger point in areas that have stubborn knots. For better results it is best to warm up the muscle with slow movements and or myofascial release before starting a deep tissue massage. Myofascial release is a much needed soft touch that stretch’s the connective tissue. This process helps eliminate next day soreness. Deep tissue can be very effective if done properly, but can be a bit intense so please communicate with your therapist if the pressure is too much.
Eastern bodywork massage therapy. Japanese Shiatsu massage clients can wear loose and comfortable clothing, there is no massage oil or cream used. Shiatsu focus more on the body energy flow through the acupuncture meridian or acupuncture point acupressure. Using more thumb, finger, palm, forearm, elbow, knee, foot, and body weight pressure work will be applied and with gentle stretching. Shiatsu massage is also designed to balance internal organs, and to unlock joints for better range of motion flexibility. Like other massages, Shiatsu also helps to relax both your body and mind.
Sports massage prepares and recharges energy for athletic sports events such as a marathon, triathlons, runners, cyclist and daily exercise. Sports massage therapy is good for improving range of motion. This includes pre-event warm up sports massage and post-event physical recovery. Pre-event sports massage therapy usually consists of faster, calming, and relaxing pressure with joint stretching. The goal of pre-event sports massage is to stimulate blood circulation and to increase oxygen flow to warm up the body and release tension, so the athletes can be more prepared physically and mentally before sports events. Post-event sports massage therapy is performed after sports events to remove soreness and to flush out fluid waste to help the body recovery from sports activity overuse.
Hot Stone Massage
Massage therapy with the same principles of Swedish massage but with the addition of heated stones, which lead to a deep relaxation. Hot stone are recommended for individuals that suffer from, chronic pain such as arthritis and fibromyalgia. The subtle penetrating effects of the Hot stones allows the massage to be delivered without excessive pressure and is very effective and relaxing.
